Well, as I have said before, shawshank redemption Was filmed in my home town. It is the 20 year anniversary of the movie so they have a thing going on in town for it. We decided to drive to some of the filming locations, so here we go.
This is where brooks almost gets ran over by the car when he first gets out of prison.
This is the hotel from the movie where brooks hung himself and writes "brooks was here" and later, "do was red" it's private so we couldn't go in
This is where they drop red off when he is on the way to the tree to find what Andy has left him
The bus scene when it's driving down the road
And last but not least!!!
This is the infamous tree where red gets the package Andy left him. The rock wall was constructed for the movie and is not there. The tree was damaged in a wind storm a coupe years ago, so only half the tree is still standing!
Well G, there you go!! Iron heart has officially made it to the shawshank move sites!! Hope you have enjoyed!!!
