Red Fang is so cool!!! Just saw that Orchid gonna play my hometown in November, one day after the Kadavar gig, and we plan a trip to Hamburg in October because Baroness gonna play the Markthalle.
Love you guys taste in music -
Tomorrow night Red Fang/Doomriders should be a great show. If anyone is in Brooklyn the show is at 285 Kent. Urb and I will be there.

I seriously jam both of those bands on the Reg. saw Fang last year and Nate and the crew the year before. Still can't get over that doomriders album. Such good heavy melodic sludge. The breakdown in Lions is one of my favorites ever. Dum duh-da-duh-dah-dum-DUM!!!
I'd love to be there with you fellas. Surf on the crowd for me!

I friggin love Red Fang. Saw them open for Mastodon, what a great show. Do they have a new album out?

Ray Wylie Hubbard, an American treasure. Black diamond strings, a J-45, a bottleneck, a harp, that voice, those songs. His son on guitar. Nice roughout boots with a tiny box toe.

Redneck Mother!

Yes! He didn't play that unfortunately, but he did play a great set and he's so damn entertaining in terms of his stories.

Love the Head Down record.
Because this is page 138, nate posted it already somewhere else:

Still love what Fenriz is doing, even if I had to take a long lasting break from the time when Transilvanian Hunger, Panzerfaust and A blaze in the northern sky meant the world to me.
-
Yes, I liked it too."until the light takes us" is also a good documentary, just because Fenriz is in it.
-
So who picked up the new NIN. I wanna hear your thoughts. Also new Pixies ep released

Love the new NiN. I was jamming the audiophile mix–after a Pepsi Challenge between that and the commercial mix--very loudly last night, probably pissed off the neighbors.

^best record he has written next to downward spiral IMO. It's so good

I got both the new Pixies and the new NIN yesterday.
Pixies is okay. I don't love it. I still think the best 'new' song they've put out is Bam Thwok, and that was ages ago.
New NIN is alright. I've only heard it once so far (well, I've heard the single a few times) and it hasn't grabbed me. I like the more electro sound as a change of pace, but found myself wishing for some really loud and heavy guitar.
One thing I really like about the NIN album is the sound of it itself - I grabbed the Apple Lossless version and still sounds wonderful in my Shures.
-
I've been looking forward to listening to the audiophile mix on my Sennies but was surprised how great it sounded on my old Paradigms and surrounds/sub.
What Shures do you have? I have the iPhone ones, I think 110m maybe, they're fantastic.
