Coffee

Snowy, I remember your being less than impressed with the mug from a coffee geek perspective; a bit thin, no?
-
^You are correct, it's a bit thin, and it lacks the curvature required for a proper coffee mug. They're pretty to look at tho (mine sits on my desk). Quote from page 3;
So I picked up a Real McCoy's mug, it's nice/good, but it's not The Real McCoy in this case. Comparing against a Four Barrel (SF Coffee ~3 blocks from SelfEdge - Kiya's Fav
) the construction is totally different. The Four Barrel mug is the style of mug I got in most good coffee shops state-side, even some good diners.
-
I have no problems with the Real McCoy mug besides the price. I like the lip on it. It's not as nice as my Made in Maine diner style mugs but I don't really mind.

I finally remembered where I got the Carville made in Maine mugs.

The Real McCoys weighs about 250g while the Carville Diner mugs weight 350g. The Carvilles are significantly beefier but I feel like the wall is quite similar in thickness.

Whoah.

Turns out we have a roaster nearby that's pretty good. I really like this one up in Duluth, but that's several hours away. Going to visit these folks and grab this for the AeroPress:

Of course, I'm as happy to ship/exchange coffees as I am beer with any interested parties.

I bought an alumin(i)um espresso pot, and some fancy Italian espresso coffee, can I play?
(I know diddly about coffee, but I like to take a passing interest in everything Jeffs into
)

Either you're getting crappy hummers, or that's a really good cup of coffee.
Option C: not enjoying giving hummers as much as drinking this coffee

Ok shall we trade coffee? Missed the last one!
