      @zwer:

      Here's my experience:

      I used to weigh 295lbs. Now I'm about 215lbs. How did I do it? Ate a lot less of everything, but never cut out any specific foods. Regardless of what people tell you, weight loss is simple science: burn more calories than you consume. You could eat pop tarts and McDonald's all day and you'll still lose weight if you burn more calories than you consume.

      Fair, and true.  But wheat actually creates hunger.  It actually creates more blood sugar than sugar does.  So, with your blood sugar going nuts all over the place your body doesn't know what to do and tells you your hungry.  The key to sustained satiety is having as stable blood sugar levels as possible, and wheat makes that impossible.

      Think it, be it.

              He's good, really, really good. IMO once you understand what's going on with the wheat it becomes less desirable to put it in your body. But then again not everyone cares if what they eat is GMO or not, I do. Are GMO's completely avoidable, unfortunately not. However, by educating yourself you can make decisions to limit the amount of exposure whenever possible. Really just depends on what YOUR personal goals are, if it's just to drop a few pounds, sure eat at dirty Ron's and do something to burn twice as many calories. If your into improving and extending your quality of life, maybe take it a step or two further.

                The forthcoming book you cited by the neurologist looks very interesting as well; I want to be as smart, alert, energetic, and happy as I possibly can, I don't have that many brain cells to spare.  I look forward to reading the impact of wheat and other carbs on the mind.

                          I don't drink soda anymore, but I would agree that Mexican coke is better. It seems just like hype but to me it tastes sweeter and kind of "warmer" instead of vague chemicals….

                                            My mom used to stone grind whole wheat and make incredible bread. She was having some pretty gnarly stomach issues, her doctor recommended restricting her wheat intake, and she lost over 50 pounds in about 90 days. She doesn't do sugar and she really doesn't exercise, but she feels the best she has in years. D6 cut out sugar, booze, and wheat, exercised his ass off, and look at him. The proof, for me, is in the proverbial pudding. I've eliminated wheat, and I weirdly feel more engaged in life. My energy is significantly up, and the only working out I'm doing is DDP Yoga. I've dropped 10 pounds in about a week, and all I can say, is that reading wheat belly, I feel like I've spent the better part of my life, being a sucker.
