These are my nerd glasses.  They are kind of a mix of traditional and modern in that they are cotton acetate coupled with matte titanium.  The acetate is glossy on the earpieces and matte on the frame.  These have the same attention to detail, heft, and quality of construction that drew me to IH.

Also sporting a raglan Made&Crafted Wabash shirt I picked up for a song.

We actually stopped off at Spectacles for Humans when we were in San Francisco.  I'm still working on locating some local shops that stock the Statesmans.

Some fuckchop stole my Maui Jim Wiki Wiki shades. They're great shades, amber polarized with a subtly blue gradient. Aside from the logo on the lens they were my favorite glasses.

I was going to replace the Maui Jims but I thought a classic aviator would go well with my A-2. Went to a store and fell in love with some aviators. Put them on, they felt great. Basically a classic gold frame aviator with very fine and subtle engraving. Featherweight, immaculate construction and details, Japanese-made of course.  Barton Perreira Hughes (named I presume after Howard Hughes).  Then I saw the price. $555. No thanks.

Found a pair on the Bay new for 1/3 of that price. No cloth or case, no problem. Very happy.

Thanks boys, I was so crestfallen when I saw the price at the optician. And so stoked when I found them on eBay

Just to be safe, I will always check pricing before trying spectacles on here forward.

Yeah that same seller has listed a ton since I bought around the same price. Different styles too. Mine are gold with stout ale gradient lenses, if you want the same. Love the lenses. An amber gradient.
