Definitely can get that here. Ya gotta pay through the nose but it can be had.

    Think it, be it.

I know it'll even be (more) expensive here seeing as how it's imported… Main reason why I don't really get into international beers: why would I pay twice as much as Belgian beer?.. It's not gonna be twice as good... Just isn't gonna happen  😃

I have the same attitude about American beer. The hops that I love so much are grown here. Never have had a foreign beer with the fresh hop bomb wallop I'm looking for.

The Aussies come close, really enjoyed an ale from Little Creatures of Perth.

        Think it, be it.

Well you need to try some NZ IPAs, I would say we are even more hop obsessed then the US. The Citra i posted earlier would be an easy bet though Citra being a US hop (the best showcase of it i have had) you are probably familiar with it.

          some to look for

A version of an APA made with nz hops during the great us hop shortage of 2010.

99 on rate beer enough said

Admittedly an Australian hop but our brewers are way ahead in terms a skill (they are catching up over there). Pineapple flavor coming from the hop is uncanny.

Finally another beer from another mate of mine a little bit more sensibly hopped than the last 3.

If any beer drinkers are visiting NZ look me up I live next door to New Zealands one of best beer bars.

But will probably be the guy wearing ironheart (or ande whall) having a yarn with the pretty bar tender at the beer bar you visit.

This is the finest beer I've ever had:
              http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/three-floyds-dreadnaught-imperial-ipa/8933/

              Runner-up:
              http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/russian-river-pliny-the-elder/8936/

Another fine one, though I find the honey unnecessary and in some vintages cloying. This one has a huge cult following:
              http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/bells-hopslam/35488/

              Another reliable go-to:
              http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/stone-ruination-ipa/14709/

This is a hometown beer that, unlike these others, has a strong malt backbone. Combined with the hoppiness, makes it a very big beer:
              http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/surly-furious/55798/

And, more my style, their seasonal IPA:
              http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/surly-abrasive-ale/116859/

              Think it, be it.

A friend had a bottle of this

                  http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/three-floyds-dark-lord-russian-imperial-stout/15917/

I was out of town when it was opened (I should really stop being friends with them)

Pliny is a legendary beer that I have had the pleasure of sampling.

The surly looks well worth a try. West coast US beers a fairly easy to come by here at not exorbitant cost. East coast are harder but can still be found. Non coastal beers like hens teeth

                      Hey hey!

It is ginger, it sparkles and it tastes good 😉 They could have put even more/fieryer ginger in it for my taste, but as it is, it is good.

And confirmed once more: this is the best beer under 8°… Only 6° but has more depth in both smell and taste... Pure fucking champagne... Even my brother likes it (he had a sip)... It's very smooth and almost sweet; the sourness is there but in the background...

I've never been so convinced of a beer's quality re-visiting it, but this is the one... Holy fucking cow isn't it just...

It's a fairly new thigh for craft American beers to come in cans. It works fine, especially if its a pint and you have a glass.

First step on a downward path, first cans, then widgets (draught control systems), then you find that you're drinking John Smiths bitter.

I beg to differ. I don't like drinking good beer out of a can but I don't mind pouring beer out of a can.

The can is a vastly inferior weapon than is the bottle though…

Slippery slope, you make a little concession here and there and before you know it you're justifying your Pabst cooler, and McDonalds wrappers on the back seat.
