Cats Paw half soles. Anyone know where I can find?
See them on eBay a lot. I've heard you have to order a half size larger than normal, but who knows.

You might message Domingo at Vintage Engineer Blog as well. He's a really nice guy and tends to know where to find things like this in a jiffy. Also, Zip Stevenson has lots of this stuff around so might be worth inquiring with him as well though I know he just left for Japan a few days ago but will be back in a week or so.
if all else fails there is always the Ebay. I just hate the bay though and only use as a last resort

While we're on the subject, what's the appeal of Cat's Paw soles? Is it just a heritage appearance thing, or is there a noticeable improvement over, say, Vibram or Dainite?
-
Vintage appearance. They are inferior to more modern rubber soles.
-
Honestly, I prefer Quabaug which Whites use (surprise from the baldy fan boy), but I think aesthetically Cats Paws are really cool.

Followup re cats paw from viberg thread if interested
cats paw heel will not slip todd and its vintage inspired as cats paw and biltrite were rubber companies supporting shoemakers. some of the heels are repros but in some cases you will get a deadstock heel on to the boot if lucky

The irritation has finally been pushed passed my limits. Is Chukka pronounced "chuh-ka or shoe-ka"?
-
I say "chucka" but I'm just a redneck.
-
I say "chucka" but I'm just Belgian.
-
Mind blown by all the various pronunciations, I had always believed that there was only one way to say it
-
Yeah, same here. Then I heard two French-Canadians–on separate occasions-- who appeared to have a decent grasp of the english language pronounce it "shoe-ka" and I've been questioning the appropriate pronunciation ever since.

What's Neighborhood's denim like?
-
G-Star, before G Star, and 5 times the price. It was all the rage 5 or 6 years ago, but I wouldn't touch it these days, at that price point there is an abundance of far superior denim, including the dudes who run this very forum.

@Mega, I think the real random questions is why do you have that? (And I asked the question before googling the cult; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aum_Shinrikyo )
-
I read Underground by Murukami some years ago, which is a book of pure testimony from victims and survivors of the Tokyo Gas Attack, I then went on to extensively research Aum as a cultural phenomenon, and reading a little of their own literature gave the research balance.
