Two years r&d led by a guy with great taste and sensibilities. Thick tanned and painted leather. Great hand carved last, cobbled in USA. Sounds great on paper, I am dying to see if my inbound pair fit!
-
Yeah I dunno, i have a pair as well and did my best to compare to my engineers from viberg to the MFRC I was just exampling leather from my other pair of vibergs as well though I'm sure davito would love to chime in.r

the smell is amazing for sure

thanks a lot for the great review tat…i also think that the MFRC's are badass and a bit better in quality, fit, etc. as the viberg engineers.
thinking about the 25th anni engineer boot that viberg did with VMC 2 years ago, i have to say that both are pretty similar. starts from the shaft and ends in the same flat toebox...iirc vibergxvmc used a dainite sole on their boot, so that is a big plus in my book, compared to the leather sole MF used! on the other hand i think the leather is a tad nicer of the MFRC's, so you see, every boot has his advantages in some way! pretty hard to say which one's better...compared to your "standard" viberg engineers, the MFRC wins though...

Hi guys like Tat mentioned is all about personal preference. I have the rc, the viberg vmc anni and the buco. I am not a comparison guy. I enjoy and wear all in their own way i do not baby my shoes, i just enjoy em. I need good shoes as i am out a lot with the dog.
Christophe has his own philosophy where as viberg does as well. In fact the rc is the only MF product which is re-runned several timesafaik viberg had pairs with the roller buckles too but hard to get

Hello Rafa the VMC anni is not really to compare although flat shape the VMC anni are hardcore and need a lot of time to break that horse butt in, sole is a vibram chevron. The horse butt is incredible it took me over a year To get em shaped
the rc is a get to go boot the leather gives quickly only sole needs to break in and mold the boot To your feet imho
Dont forget guys, MF is coming from a complete different approach 30' to 50's style motoboots with leather sole and cats paw heel for the nice Cali weather
Rafa remember your Foto of the VMC annis

SUPERFUZZ- hey, how are the shafts working for you? I was curious if it made it any more difficult to get the boot on or off? Also how long did it take to have it completed I am really considering this when my boots get back from zip

I'm trying to find some more info on these boots, but even the MF site has very little. Specifically, I'm wondering how large their size run is? I don't have high hopes considering their clothing line runs pretty small.
Regardless, thanks for sharing your impressions, tmt and davito. The boots look awesome.

Goes up to a 12 seancono, which fits my size 13 perfectly;

Great comp pick. Do you know which last was used on the VMC annis David? Still looks wide but much better than the few I've tried. I would really be sold on those if they had used a half sole as opposed to a sole tht runs ful length into the heel stack.
