After my first apprenticeship (trained retail salesman) I did 9 months of alternative services at a Kindergarten with disabled/ handicapped kids and then I knew what I wanna do

I was 12. I was at a restaurant that showed me food in ways I had never seen before, and at that moment, I decided I wanted to be a chef. That was 20 years ago.

I've tried and failed 3x at doing what I love. Each time I'm thankful for the opportunity and go back to the drawing board. For now, it's more about the attitude and baggage I bring (or don't bring) with me to the job. It's been this way for the last 2.5 years, but was based on much deep/long meditation in my early 20's (took quite a few years to sink in)

This is something I have wanted to get into for some time.  Yell out if you can assist in pointing me in the right direction.

For reals, spent months living in monasteries around the world. It's worth doing, it's a practice I've used for so long it's just part of what makes me up these days.

In terms of pointers, the answer is yes, but it depends :). It depends on what style of person you are. I spent the first few years trying out many different schools / types of practice before I found one that worked for my method of being (Zen). Which are you (pick 1) visual, logical, story-drive? From there I can start looking for the right practice in your area. Feel free to PM me your reply at this point, as the next question is where do you live (suburb level)
