I have an SMF and an SnG, Striders aren't exactly around the house knives but it depends on the person.

ZT is the shit. Jeff got me a ZT 350 with a composite blade. So sic.

Nice spydies gents. Spyderco really started my obsession with sharp stuff and I'll always love the bug.

So I put the knife into a Granny (the apple variety, not the elderly kind), then treated it with cider vinaigre… Overdid it, of course, and there are some rust marks here and there... Oiled it at work (spray) and it works like a charm... Also getting used to the opening... The knife really fits a lot better than the Delica as it's slightly smaller...

Personally am a big fan of the hot sauce patina!

If the Spyderco is carbon steel it is very susceptible to rust. Patina is a form of rust. That is why I forced patina on my Opinel. I would rather have a forced patina then brown rust which can happen with neglect. If you force a patina you never have to worry about brown rust again.

You are correct vinegar patina is nice, more subtle then a hot sauce patina.
