            thank you guys.
and thank you IronHeart for making this pair, it has everything I need to feel good.
It is definitely my cut, feels like the 666s, but (imo) improved with lighter denim having no red selvage id.
            my jeans! 😘

I'm considering these  again, I hesitated because the lighter weight but kind of liking the idea of some lighter stuff in the rotation lately

Lighter jeans are awesome. They're a must in a wardrobe IMO. I think these would satiate that need quite nicely mr. TMT

What's likely to happen super long term ;). Need to be a bit more faithful to individual models. Already splitting my time across 2 brides 😉

I bought my first pair of raw denim jeans in the form of some RRLs about a year ago, but wasn't completely satisfied with the fit after some wear (too tight in the thigh and too loose in the waist and seat) so have been lurking on here for a while trying to decide what pair to go for.

By chance I had a few hours to kill between trains in Brighton and visited Peggs & son to try on some Edwins when I saw the 666S and 666L Iron Hearts (I didn't realise there were any physical stores stocking Iron Heart in the UK). I loved the look of the 666L and, after some brilliant service and advice, walked out with a pair of 34s. The fit is fantastic and they look awesome.

After reading through this thread I have a question though; I thought the point of raw denim was that you didn't wash the jeans, but there is a lot of talk on here about pre and post soak. Should I be soaking them before I wear them? If so, why? I'm sure the guy who sold me them probably explained but he gave me so much information (I'm really new to all this) that not all of it sunk in.

Sorry for the long first post. I hope some of you persevered to the end and can help me out.

Yeah: these are raw jeans/ unsanforised and do require a soak…

Thank you seren.  The non wash myth is bollocks espoused by a few manufacturers….But they are your jeans, you do what you want with them...

Thanks all for your replies. Sorry I missed the product care post myself.

And Giles, it was the girl that sold me my RRLs who said not to wash. I'm inclined to take your advice over hers. Especially on your product.

                                Now I'm off to run a bath…

The fundamental points are that you need to get the starch out of denim and get the constructional stitching bedded in.  If you don't, and it matters not what make the jeans, you will reduce the life of the jean

shrinkage is less (didn't measured, but feels like predicted a few posts back) than expected for raw denim, maybe a special feature of this denim, or the lht?
                                    I don't care, fits great.

Soaked as advised. No idea of shrinkage measurements but they certainly feel snug in the waist. Prefer stacking them to cuffs and was expecting to need to get them hemmed but I reckon the length is good.

Already my favourite pair of jeans I have ever owned. And already eyeing up the 25oz 666.

Thanks. I did try a cuff but not something I'd normally do and worry that if I get them hemmed I risk going too short. Such a hard life I lead…

the fit in the top looks spot on imo…but i´d adjust the fit from knee down. let them hem (~2" off) and you´re good to go imo!

                                            edit:
1" hem is good, 2" is even better, so Chris is right!
