The 666S fit me fine, I'm very happy with them.  However, a little more snug wouldn't hurt before they really start to stretch and mould to my shape.

And man - being my first thick (≥18oz) selvedge denim jeans - do they take some getting used to!  🙂

Very happy, can see myself getting more Iron Heart.

If anyone is having trouble with not enough shrinkage in the new batch….

I decided to give these a second HOT WASH before putting them up on EBay ( I figured I was going to be losng money on them anyway...) SOOOO... they now fit much better in the top box.. The waist band is still just a hair larger than I would prefer to start off with but would eventually end up there anyway i'm just used to quite a bit of pain my first week or so stretching my jeans... the most important part for me is how it hugs my crotch, rearend, and thighs and it is about as spot on as I could hope for now!

Long story short... These are no longer up for sale 😉

Hey guys, looking into the 666s as my first Iron Heart jeans.  My last pair of jeans were the Japan Blue JB0701 in size 31.  I like the fit and all on those but the thigh is way too tight, even after a full year of wear they didn't stretch out like I thought.  I really like the fit of the 666s and I've heard great things about the denim, but was wondering if a size 32 in these would be better for me.  I've been comparing Self Edge's measurements and the measurements on here and have gotten confused.  I wish this place had a pair in 31 and 32 so I could exchange if 31 is too tight for me.  I've compared with some of my other jeans and I'm still undecided between the two sizes.  Will the thigh and waist stretch past the pre-soak measurements?

The last batch of 666 were sized incorrectly.  We updated the measurements on the IH.UK site to reflect these actual measurements.  A) SE may not have updated their measurements and 😎 We use different processes to measure our jeans, both SE and we articulate our way of measuring the jeans on the respective websites.

Welp pulled the trigger on a size 31 in these jeans.  Thoughts on my fit post soak and not even a day of wear?  Still deciding on if I should send them to SE for a hem or not.  Sorry for the bad quality pic but here they are:

Yeah thought about that also because I only did a lightly warm soak.  Didn't want to shrink the waist/thigh too much but wanted to still get the initial soak out of the way.  Another cooler one or a hot soak?  And would it be weird to only soak the legs and not the top block to get more inseam stretch but keep the top block where it is now?

The shrinkage is going to eventually happen any way you slice it. By using cool soaks your just prolonging the inevitable. I do exactly what Seul suggested put it in a hot wash. When you do this you will get the majority, if mot all, of the shrinkage out of the way. After that's all do e you can get down to gettin dirty with em!

Really considering purchasing another pair and sizing down due to the lack of shrinkage… Thought I had it fixed but these stretch out pretty easy  and just not happy with the fit in the top block of my 31s... Bummer :-\

how much stretching do you think I can get in the thighs of these?  Bought a tagged size of 31 and the thighs measure 12" now.  I wanted to get more in the thighs of my jb0701 which measure 12" now.  Just trying to compare and seeing if another size/model will fit be better

^ what about the IHxB-01? it's a bit wider in thigh, knee and hem! so should be perfect for you…

Does the 18oz denim have that smooth, velvety feel on the inside of the fabric, much like the 21oz has?  I love the 666 cut of my ducks, but not sure about which denim to go for.  21 oz is by far my favourite, so just wondering how this compares.

i am really with you about the 21oz. this fabric is magic!
G, a production of the 666 cut with the 21oz denim, possible soon…?
