Now I got the IHXB01-25. I think the Beatle Buster is perfect for the 25oz! Feel really comfortable good in them. I'm happy thou I sized up on these - pretty tight in waist. And from the 666 25oz I learnd the 25oz shrink one size, but unlike the 21oz they did NOT stretch back! The fabric is too tought. Harder than the body. On me anyway. That was not the case with all the 21oz I have. So in my opinion do not size down on these for sure. Maybe up instead - you'll be happy for that after a few washes I think. Anyone think like me?

My travels with the 8 legs of 25er's that I roll with allow me to say that in my case, it's possible to get a fair amount of stretch. I'm not big on belts. I'm an infrequent washer/soaker so I size down and apply pressure for a snug belt free fit. The more pressure the more stretch.

            Hooked on the Heavy stuff.

            madmonday's retired….I'm just tired.

Go the same size.  The IH-666-XHS will be restocked and here in about 10 days.

Is there a story behind the spilt blood?

Nothing dramatic, Seanocono. I did the bathtub ritual in a pair of Flat Heads, and they scratched the back of my knees so badly I shed small quantities of blood. The beasts still aren't quite tamed, but by now I can wear them without further sacrifices….. at least my "private parts" remained unharmed.

Considering the world success of "Shades of Grey", how about collecting some stories like that and come up with a sequel, "Shades of Blue - Confessions of hard headed denim dudes"..... grin

Ha.  Glad to hear that it wasn't anything too dramatic.

The break-in period is probably my favorite time with a new pair of jeans; especially HW Iron Heart's.  Sure, they get better with time.  I won't argue that.  But I always really look forward to the next fight.

I'll piggyback georgeel's post and give an update on these now that I've had them for a few months. Specifically, I'd like to address the cut, as there is plenty info on this denim on the forum (spoiler alert: it rocks!). Initially, I was slow to accept the fit. The rise didn't bother me as much as the slimmer thigh measurements. I had tried the Buster cut before, and it didn't work for me. I lost weight since then and decided to give it another shot. I went TTS and they looked a bit like 555s on me, at first. Boy, am I glad that I didn't give up on these, though. They have loosened up nicely, and fit EXACTLY how I was hoping they would.

If you are looking to try something a little different, outside of the flagship 634 cut (which I still love), this is the pair to try. They are comfortable beyond words, slimmer without being skinny, and look great with boots. If you're on the fence, jump. If you're initially not thrilled with the cut, be patient. It will pay off, I promise.
