    @Chris:

    I suppose that would match your liver.

    I was expecting hair line…....but not from you.

    I was initially going to go with sexual prowess, but I figured that would be too easy.

        @Finn666:

        so, after 3weeks of no sports cuz of my insured knee, i thought it was about time to finally get my ass up again and start to get ripped for summer!
        started with a nice 40min. run this morning (sth. like 7-8km) and it was awesome…gonna go for a run every 2nd day now.
        think i need new running shoes though...any suggestions? "affordable" is my 2nd name 😃

        Totally depends on your feet (wide or narrow) and your running style (mid foot, heel toe). The more active you run, the less cushion you need. One could even argue that you don´t need much of a shoe if your running form is good and your muscles and filaments are adapted to that style of running.

        Obviously you should buy a shoe that fits you. Mizuno for example uses wide lasts, Adidas and Nike tend to be narrow. The more important question is if you want to go for a heavily cushioned shoe with a high heel-to-toe drop that fosters a passive running form or try to improve your technique with a flat shoe (don´t go immediately over the top with those).

        Don´t let people tell you that you need a certain amount of cushion because your total weight is more than x kg. It´s all about technique and adaption. In the long run active running is better for your ligaments.

          thanks a lot for the input mate, makes sense…atm. i´m running in a pair of Nike free run 3 (iirc). they already have a lot of km on their back and i think i need to get some new ones pretty soon!
          i have normal to wide feet and the nike free is "ok" i think...a bit wider would be a bit better though i believe.

            If you really like the free 3.0… I know you can nikeID the new model. You can get them in a 2EE width. They only give you more material on the upper to accommodate wider feet but the sole completely stays the same. Usually the running companies have released their new "update" products about 2 months ago, so you should find previous models marked way down now.

                    Oh man was it a rainy cold race today. Rained the whole time. Continuous rain is rare in Utah. Ended up wearing a trash bag for nearly the whole race. Usually is a disposable start line trick.

                    The canyon was beautiful

                        just finished a 30min. run before breakfast...the first run since started with paleo on monday. not felt powered up to a 100% but happy to see i made it in "normal" time, so it can only get better right 🙂

                          Thanks guys. Luckily no blisters. Normally I don't run races with my wife, but she wanted to shoot for a pr so I stuck with her. It was about 40 mins slower than I would normally run, but worth it as she bested her pr by 50 mins.

                            Drop 13 1/2 Marathon today. Perfect weather and a steep decent equaled sore quads and a PR.

                            Trying to stay warm at the start.

                            Sun came up for good at about mile 10.5

                                  X post. This is from today's Deseret News Marathon. A race I'll never ever do again.

                                  @summ3rhays:

                                  Mid week race to celebrate a State Holiday here in Utah.

                                  Pretty course but there was more uphill than expected.

                                  Post race pic with the wife.

                                      I need to check it out.  Looks like a cool flick.  They were showing in here in SLC at a bar/theater when the Outdoor Retailers but I couldn't make it.  He had a cool right up of the Speed Goat 50k.  It's run about 20 mins from my house.

                                        You're that close to it?! I would've watched that race. Read the last 5-9miles was an awesome race to the finish

                                          Yeah, I was bummed that I couldn't make it up the canyon to watch.  I'm trying to get up the nerve to enter, but it looks brutal.  They only allow 150 runners I think so I would hate to take a spot and then completely fail. Never know until you try though right?
