Good for you to gamble to taper those,I dont dare too. as i have said many times,I am starting to love the fit.most of my jeans are tapered or skinny,so this slim-straight looking kinda nice variation for me.but they only go with a nice big silhoutte boots IMO.

this was one of the reasons I went for the taper…with a hem of 9.4" they literally will eat your sneakers if you look away for a second! ^^

**Announcement - HWDC Belts Round 2

Thank you to all the guys who have expressed interest in ordering the HWDC belts. Here is what needs to happen next, as I fly to Tokyo for a week on Sunday morning.

• Over the next 8 days please send your 50% deposit to my Paypal address (emporergav01@hotmail.com).

• You can send 100%, and I would prefer it done this way.

• Along with your payment please do not forget to include the following information.

• Your name and address.

• HWDC contest number.

• Belt size

• Belt leather

• Belt width

• Buckle number

• Buckle material (brass or nickle)

Challenge 1 - Denim Angel

My mother spent some time in hospital, so I decided to visit her. This is where I set out from.

And this was the destination.

Naturally, the weather in Manchester was wonderful, as always.

My mother has a taste for Belgian chocolate, so I took her a couple of bars.

Once at the hospital, I had to wear a fetching apron. You can see the collar of my HWDC 2 t-shirt poking out there.

On the bus back into Manchester city centre I found someone's bag of shopping, which I handed in. Two angelic activities, my karma must have got a bump up from that!

And the following week I did it again. This time I had a request for tea cakes, but got hot cross buns as a last minute substitute.

I gave the jeans their first wash a few weeks ago. They're not Sanforized, so I was keen to get all the shrinkage out now, rather than finding out that they'll be two inches two short once we're further into the competition.

The jeans filled up most of the washing machine.

And afterwards I had to take the mandatory indigo stained hand shot.

Lastly, some early evo on the ankles. Unfortunately I don't fall into the Licorice Noose category…
