I tend to agree that the 666 cut would be better advertised as 'slim-straight' rather than just 'slim'.

Then again, it's just an issue of semantics, and perhaps it doesn't affect peoples purchasing decisions. Dunno.

I think it's all relative, RnR.  On you, they may be slim-straight.  On me, they would be jeggings.  The Vulcans would probably be straight on you, but they would be slim-straight on me.  I'm pretty sure Team IH has put some thought into this.

I think we can all agree that this denim looks fantastic.  I'm really curious to see its evolution, and I'm happy it's being supported so well.  This makes the likelihood of a 634 cut even greater.

What Haraki-san should do, is a run with a 34" inseam for the Japanese market… I'd buy the shit out of one of those... I had these hemmed to a 33" inseam and this is what you get (post soak, although I'm sure some shrinkage is still left):

Tagged size 33 that measured 33.5" unsoaked, after a 30C° wash @800RPM:

82 cm inseam (just over 32")
41 cm waist unaligned (16..1"), 43 aligned (just under 33)
22 cm legopening (8.6")

First of all, the fabric… Jesus tapdancing christ is it nice...

But, the fit is no good for me… The taper is gone because I had them shortened so much...

There's déf some shrinkage left… But it won't be enough to win me over, I'm sure. Too bad.

Still: 34" inseam "sprint runs" would be awesome... The inseams keep getting longer thus the chance of scoring a jeans with a nice taper = smaller... Too bad...

eli i know where you coming from...they look like "just" a straight cut on you without any taper! not that the fit isn´t a nice one, it really is, but i understand your "problem"!

The XHS will certainly spoil ya.  Regardless of the HWDC, I don't really want to wear anything else, they're just so awesome.

That being said, the fit on these does look good on you seul…

I agree with Seul. The taper is non-existent, if you chop a few inches off the 38.5" inseam. They look more like 634Ls than 666Ls.
