tnx Finn!  besides,  being apropos for the garrison buckle, i especially the black for its "satin" finished brass.

IMO, the leather quality is on par if not better than the Buco or Fullcount garrison i've seen @BIG, for less than 1/2 the retail … Charlie [of Equus] is the man!

I always treat both sides of the leather. Shmoop it firmly with your hands and then let it dry. I like to throw my leather stuff under the rear window of my car in the sun for a few hours to help the wax melt in.

I never treat belts. A thick belt will last 30-50 years, either way. I like to let it naturally age. Boots that take alot of abuse on the other hand..

Can someone recommend a good natural colored belt to start with? (doesn't have to be IH). I've never owned a high quality one before and I think the time has come. I want something not too crazy thick, but with plenty of durability that will (most importantly) age well.

Spring Son of Light you should jump on this.  You can make it exactly the way you want for a killer price.  If you aren't in the HWDC it's a little more, but still a steal.
