I use my shoes for about 1000 kilometers.  That used to be every 2 months but is now every 5.

Depends. For me if the upper starts getting destroyed and tape doesn't do much. And/or…. there isn't enough "protection" in the sole for my desired terrain. It's too much to keep track of exact mileage per shoe, but I can find out for you

… It 's a fact that the suspension doesn't work any longer than 500 k, doesn't matter which Brand!...but what do i know?;)

^Yea that's the general rule

They say its good to cycle shoes to give the mid sole time to recover. That way you get more bang for your buck

Nike Plus running site lets you track the mileage on your shoes. I don't get much more than 400km out of a pair, but I'm fairly heavy so I don't push it.

Just signed up for the Dopey Challenge.  It's next January in Disneyworld.  4 races in 4 days.  6 tshirts and 6 medals.

Fr 10k
Sa 1/2 marathon
Su Full marathon

I ran the Goofey Challenge in 2011 which is the 1/2 and full.  This will be the first official year to sign up for the Dopey so I figured why not.

Summer- tips: I know you already know but CROSSTRAIN! Your knees and hips will love you for alternating between cycling and running.. Good luck friend and PM me what training will be like. I don't mind throwing in some time helping you tweak anything that might need it. If you got any questions bout gels, nutritional blocks, salt tabs, electrolyte tabs, sports drink, recovery socks/pants, footwear, clothing, WHATEVER….  Just shoot me a msg man! Here to help
