Simon Q. I agree with you on the level of customer service that Mr. G$$$ exhibits.  I have a similar story that gets really complicated, so I won't bother to bore anyone with the details of.

I've been waiting a long time for this one.

My thoughts: I'm happy the material is not excessively stiff.  It is softer than I expected and much softer than my Superblack Rider jacket (which sometimes chafes my wrists).  Is the material used in this version of the IHSH-08 softer than that used in the previous release, similar to how the current Superblack jeans are softer than the previous model?

The snaps are larger than any other IH shirt but yet are easier to pop open.  There is also a snap instead of a top button.  I've always though of the top button as the Achilles' heel of Ironheat and would like to see top snaps on other shirts as well.

I really like the cut, especially the slim shoulders.  I find it similar to older models of IH shirts, such as the IHSH-07, and much prefer it to the cut of the most recent shirts, such as IHSH-22 and IHSH-23.  The cuffs on this shirt are significantly larger than other shirts, even heavy ones such as the IHSH-20.  I have skinny wrists and therefore prefer a small cuff, but this is just a minor detail which I'm not too concerned about.  I got a size Medium, as I do in all IH shirts.

This shirt has already taken its place among my favorites.  It's unique, heavy yet supple, and has a great cut.  I can't ask for more than that.

The reason that we have a button at the collar rather than a snap on our shirts is that if you have any sort of beard then getting it caught in a snap is super-painful.

G, did this one come with a snap because pf the weight? I also prefer the snaps all the way to the top but then again, I don't have a beard. Any possibility of getting the option to have snaps instead of buttons? Also, how easy would it be to apply a few on my own? If it was possible could I request some snaps? If not I understand and can deal with whatever Haraki decides upon.

This one came with a snap because it is a sort of shirt/jacket crossover.

Options too difficult to do, it complicates stuff too much in the work shop.

Unless you have the right machine/s, the snaps are really difficult to apply.

i recently decided to close this old bank account that didn't have much money, and wanted to buy the IHSH-08 or IHSH-16 but i got a speeding ticket and have to post-pone this now.

decided that, given either of the two shirts are around next year, i'm going to wear one of the two everyday for a whole summer.

edit: oops forgot to ask, has anyone worn either shirt everyday? or at least for a given period?

I've worn the IHSH-08 for a whole week even in bed (and it did make my wife somewhat jealous).  You may want to rethink the everyday summer thing.  You will lose the battle.

i think i would lose to the ihsh-08 super black, but i think i can tolerate the ihsh-16. i have a pretty high tolerance for the heat…
i wore my 634s everyday in the summer of 2008 and rotated my 634s with my 634sr in the summer of 2009. 2010 is all about the sexih07bk. what harm could wearing a super heavy shirt do??
