    ^^ I think your "problem" is being solved with the first real wash you're going to give them. until that time I'd just wear them and don't care (wear and don't compare as Mme B used to say!) 😉
    the wash will thighten everything in the right places so you should be save afterwards!…

      i check my other jeans and the seam stitching indeed also shows but due to the dark thread it is not as visible as the 555-02, am i happy now? yeah but will be more happier if it is is not contrast stitching as my 1st impression is that chain stitching used here is a little bit loose as explained by G to relieved undue stress on the fabric.  So I will not do any alteration on this because i assumed as it is my competition entry that when my denim fades it will be less noticeable. Hope everybody happy now and just enjoy rocking your IH jeans.  🙂 🙂

      My UB the camera flash make the stitching more visible.

        if i do wash my 555-02 now will this affect the color and fading capabilities of the denim? i have a little extra fabric on my ass or i should wait for it to settle 1st.

          Yes, it will improve it.  The raws should be washed before you wear them.

                @Giles:

                It'll settle a little as it moulds and gets soft.  It looks from the picture that you have too much fabric between the crotch and the rear rise (for your particular physique)so it is slouching and has to do so at the seam as that is a natural pivot point.

                Thanks for helping me out with this. Im gonna give them another hot soak and see if that tightens anything up at all, I figure it won't make matters worse. But I'm curious, based on the way these fit, which model do you think would work better for me in regards to that issue, because this is the best denim I've ever come across. Thanks again, its much appreciated

                  thompsoa- how'd that wash and soak go for your outseam problem?

                    is there a chance on a possible restock?

                      There's a chance, I like the denim and the cut is popular, but the first run sold slowly compared to the 555-01 and 55-03…

                            So odd, because the 02 IMO is by far the best denim of the three

                                will be fun to watch the roping develop over the next two years:

                                i can't get away from 18oz denim

                                head high, middle finger higher

                                        Yea so I'm dying to purchase a pair of these. I will need to sell some shit to make it happen though! They is not cheep!

                                        I know this has been discussed a bit, but can someone tell me a bit more about how these stretch and shrink when washed and worn over time? I'm not used to heavier denim, and only just got a pair of 301s but they're obviously a different beast since they're sanforized.

                                        Do these stretch a ton after wear? How about, say, compared to Flat Head's 3xxx denim?

                                          This denim doesn't stretch a lot after the soak. My vulcans, in the same denim, came raw with a 35.75" waist. They shrank to 34.75" and after 7 months of wear, the waist measures 35". IMO, it's the best IH denim offering, the 18oz!
