man, what do you guys chose for hemming? iam super satisfied with 35inches on the chinos (IH-816) but the standard 36inches on the BBOD are too long. Any suggestions? Something which comes up at 35-35.5inches after washing and settling?

                Patch looks wicked awesome.

I measured two pairs that have a length I'm happy width and sent that to Paula, making allowances for a bit of shrinking and settling.

                When in doubt, measure!

I'd go with 35.5" inseam if you would like to end up at ~35"…

I measured two pairs as well and decided I want the megabusters slightly shorter than my 634s, so I went for 35". That's the same as the inseam on my 634s' - so after just a little shrinkage they should end up about half an inch shorter.

I responded to Paula's second email, verifying that I'd be willing to swap my size 31 for a 32 if it's helpful. Also to inquire if the 37.5 inseam is chainstitched at that length from IH, or if that is an unfinished hem. Basically I'd like my pair with a chainstitched hem, with the longest possible inseam.

Wish I could raise a beer with you guys! Well it's noon here, so I suppose I can, cheers-

                                Guys,

Apologies if you have not been responded to about sizing changes/ questions but I am sure you can appreciate just how busy the last 24 hours have been and continue to be.

The reality is this, due to the well documented problems with this run of 25oz denim we were only able to make the pairs which were originally ordered, even achieving that was done at great personal financial cost to both Haraki and Giles, and no small amount of stress and headache.

Therefore, if you want to change from the size which you originally ordered there is a fair chance that we will not be able to accommodate that request with this batch, unless we can swap you with someone else who wants to exchange. We are looking at alternatives for what we can do to help, but I ask you to be absolutely 100% sure before asking for a sizing change, we are talking about a difference of no more than an inch between any measurement in any size, so I would suggest that unless you need to change by two sizes or more please recheck the measurements and be sure.

You help, understanding and patience is very much appreciated.

factory hem chainstitched, but may not be chainstitched with a union special if that matters to you

or maybe it is, ask giles, if it matters

I understand that 100%, in my original reply to Paula, I let her know that either the original 31, or a 32 would be fine for my order, whatever would be most helpful to everyone there at Gosport. She wrote back informing me that if I took a t 32, it would be very helpful, and asked me to promptly respond to verify. So I did, and also posted here, since with the time difference, I'd received her email a bit late, and responded a few hours later than I'd have liked. I figured I'd post here as well since I wanted to make sure the communication was received.

Basically I'm good with either size, with long-ass inseams!

Thanks, I hope I didn't cause any troubles.

I can't wait for these jeans and HUGE thanks to all you crazy people for making/hemming them. My pair is already leading a more interesting life than I do!

I stretched my 634s' while measuring to make sure I got the actual inseam length - so the combs and creases have been taken into consideration 🙂
