from what is shown on the page before we're only modifying the original tough patch so far, instead of creating a complete new one…that's just me though!

Once again thanks jaco for posting things that are already on their website, which I (and others) have already read.

I had not until Jaco posted it….

Great question, I am sorting it all out currently. It started out looking like Colorado, but given the high altitude here and the fact that these challenges are demanding enough without the addition of elevation. So now we are now looking at spots with a more reasonable altitude. Not to mention someplace we will all want to hang out and is relatively convenient for everyone to travel to. As soon as the location is picked I will post it in this thread.

I think Adam is doing a great job already. I haven't committed to this yet but most likely will join in.

Adam, thanks for the designs so far.

Much appreciated urban.  I'm making a few without the arrowhead logo so we can move past this, "you shouldn't be doing this" vibe.  Pics soon.

I'm thrilled that you're considering this!

Couldn't agree more. Your time and consideration is sincerely appreciated, Adam.

didn't want to sound offended in any kinda way Adam and o/course I'm more than happy that you're trying to do your take on the patch and that you invest a lot of time in doing so…only mentioned V.O. for the "special IH patch" (maybe another one!), since he did all the others already!
really didn't want to step on any toes there guys, sry if you thought I did!

As someone who has always lived near sea-level, and has had to compete in Boulder and Denver a day after arriving, I think this is wise. The altitude makes breathing more difficult, if you're not used to it. I'm assuming that most of us don't have regular access to altitude simulators, either.

I would also, just to throw out my two cents, suggest avoiding areas with a lot of humidity. That could be just as debilitating, in a competition this rigorous, for anyone unaccustomed to it.

Depends on the time of year. It's humid as hell here in NC during the summer but this time if year there is none at all. There was a challenge this past weekend in Jacksonville, NC and the weather was a little chilly but beautiful.

You're right, bags.  I didn't really consider that.  If we are able to stick to the March/April timeframe, humidity shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Guys as far as location goes, when I say it will be somewhere we all want to hang out…trust me, y'all are gonna be stoked on the spot. I'm not trying to make this any harder on myself than it's going be already. By the way I like mild climates and sandy beaches....

Great video, thanks! And cross posting in both threads is very acceptable.

Today I found a hill. Then I ran up the hill as fast as I could for 20 seconds, I walked back down for 10 seconds and then ran back up it for 20 seconds more. I did this till I got to the top of the hill. It wasn't a huge hill and it wasn't super steep. It was kinda big and somewhat steep. I kept doing this for a total of ten times. I stopped a few times to drink some water and each time I got to the top it probably took about a minute to get back to the bottom. I was pretty tired afterwords.

                                          Get out and do something!!!!

Starting a long stretch at work which means I have to transition to early AM workouts which is a bitch but life could be worse. So today I warmed up on the treadmill and then did a little kb workout with squats, pushups, swings, pullups, and squats with overhead press, 20 sec on 15 sec off, 5 sets only, cause I slept about 15 mins later than I intended to
Oh and I've switched to cold showers and drinking Budweiser, from cans
