GORUCK Challenge

I post this with no ill will, not directed at anyone in particular, just to further the conversation, here is the goruck tough patch explained

No bags, clarification is always appreciated! certainly was not intended to be condescending.

Note: All my art supplies are in storage. I did this with sharpies, and these are the only colors I could find (the dark green is a light green over brown). I can send someone a basic design and you guys can fill it in electronically with more accurate colors. Give me a moment to draw up a blank one.

I was just clarifying what Z was asking for but thanks for the condescending answer :-\
Haha, bags, that wasn't my intention, but after re-reading my comment I can see how it could have been interpreted that way. Admittedly, a poor choice of words.

http://news.goruck.com/gear-explained/goruck-tough-patch-explained/thanks for sharing jaco…
after reading through it, i'm not so sure about it if you/we really should "modify" that patch in some sort of way. not sure if it would disrespect the actual purpose of it!?
maybe we should just create a special patch for the boys&girls of the IH crew that went through all of this along with you.
so actually same meaning as the "GORUCK tough" patch has for those guys, just for the Works/IH crew and just in reference to the challenge the stubborn crew went through? -
I was under the impression that is what we are doing?

Where is this challenge taking place?
Great question, I am sorting it all out currently. It started out looking like Colorado, but given the high altitude here and the fact that these challenges are demanding enough without the addition of elevation. So now we are now looking at spots with a more reasonable altitude. Not to mention someplace we will all want to hang out and is relatively convenient for everyone to travel to. As soon as the location is picked I will post it in this thread.

maybe we can get V.O. to "create" something?!…
I think Adam is doing a great job already. I haven't committed to this yet but most likely will join in.
Adam, thanks for the designs so far.

thanks for the designs so far.
Much appreciated urban. I'm making a few without the arrowhead logo so we can move past this, "you shouldn't be doing this" vibe. Pics soon.
I'm thrilled that you're considering this!

Couldn't agree more. Your time and consideration is sincerely appreciated, Adam.

didn't want to sound offended in any kinda way Adam and o/course I'm more than happy that you're trying to do your take on the patch and that you invest a lot of time in doing so…only mentioned V.O. for the "special IH patch" (maybe another one!), since he did all the others already!
really didn't want to step on any toes there guys, sry if you thought I did! -

As someone who has always lived near sea-level, and has had to compete in Boulder and Denver a day after arriving, I think this is wise. The altitude makes breathing more difficult, if you're not used to it. I'm assuming that most of us don't have regular access to altitude simulators, either.
I would also, just to throw out my two cents, suggest avoiding areas with a lot of humidity. That could be just as debilitating, in a competition this rigorous, for anyone unaccustomed to it.

Adam is designing the patch lets move on to the next topic
