The 666S uses cotton thread, so construction wise, they are about the same.. I've owned both pairs, and they are different fits. The 666S is slimmer in the top block and thighs, but the 710xx tapers more from the knee down.
I'm partial to IH, so of course I recommend the 666S. The 18oz denim is some amazing stuff. But you can't go wrong with either pair..
Cheers!

Fit-wise, the 710's are more similar to the Beatle Busters. I have both, and they are a very similar fit. And the Busters are also available in raw… just throwing that out there.

Nice ben! Fit pic soon I hope…

pulled trigger on s710xx yesterday on my seemingly never ending search for a pair of raws to fit my tall self. should be here by friday and will post fit pics.
*on a sidenote, being tall sucks when it comes to finding denim. That is all.

Do a soak with some agitation. Turn the jeans inside out first. No need to go boiling hot, just as hot as your tap will go. Hang dry. That should do it.
-
Fit looks nice! And it will get better down the road (with the upcoming washes and all)
-
Another soak or gentle wash might give you extra shrinkage, but not that much. Turning inside out in not necessary when you soak, but when you wash. Enjoy them!

As long as you don't fry the patch…

Lookin' good ben! Another soak won't hurt.

Samurai is getting two 15th anniversary models ready. 25oz. Reminds me of another brand… whose initals start with I and end with H.
In any case, the jeans look badass.
