I'm curious to hear from people around here who are obsessed and fixated on teh IH (or any brand) denim regarding how many pairs they usually rotate at any given time. Obviously the fewer the pairs of denim the more dedication to siq faydz brah. I have bought and sold many a pair of Japanese denim since discovering it last summer (took me a while to find the right fits and the denims I like, etc). I had to discipline my proclivity to wanting 7 pairs and have gotten myself down to 3 (IH 555-03, IH 301s, and The Flat Head BSP from SE). I think a 3-jean rotation will allow for some respectable fading and wear while also not blowing through a pair of jeans in 8 months. I'm sure there are arguments to made on both sides of the spectrum…

When cold: IH-666XHS, sleep in IH-666D, no rotation with other jeans.

When warm: IH-803 chopped into shorts. Rotation with 5 year old Atelier LaDurance jeans when slightly less warm.
