Every day man, but it's no way to live your life. You just gotta take it as it comes, and try not to worry too much about things you cannot change  🙂

Exactly B, all that achieves is making yourself miserable. Just take what life gives you, good and bad, and keep it moving forwards.

is it normal in life that there comes a time where you just question EVERYTHING? 😠

atm i just want to breakout, live a happy life without any constraints or thoughts about what needs to happen next! :-\

Chicken and egg, that's an epic epic discussion by itself. There's certainly no problems peeking behind the covers of society's fabric, and I've found a lot of philosophy induces such states anyhow (Plato's Republic for example). By questioning you will learn and understand.

I've checked out multiple times, with the most relevant stint being living as a monk in a monastery (for real). Even then, thoughts don't end, and the entire life is shaped around constraints. (The comfortable/peaced out monastic is as such as they've been there for a very long time and have broken everything about their 'self'.).

There's no 'easy' way, it's all about being able to accept and welcome whatever comes, this is the core truth of Buddhism ("Life is Suffering"). I'm not saying religion is the answer, I found it a useful tool to better relate to the world and myself, but it never 'solved' my issues, just made me more aware of them by having to face them…..ahhh maybe PM if you're serious in wanting to discuss further 🙂

                  ^Excellent stuff, Snowy.

Finn, I have also found that your questions are typical of our mid 20s. At 18, I thought I knew everything. At 25, I realized I didn't know shit. Eventually, I came to accept that the more I learned, the less I understood.

Leary IMO was most interesting when hanging about with Ginsberg and Watts. Poet and Zen master, respectively. I have enjoyed listening to and watching their joint conferences over the years. Ginsberg and Watts turned away from the drugs, focusing on 'is-ness' and holism, where as Leary continued to see drugs as the vehicle.  Was a really interesting time in California. Watts talking @ IBM is amazing, and the zen masters that came to the west around the same time and kicked off the whole movement came out/around/from the beat movement/influences. Jack Kerouac's On The Road loops in with all of this also. I followed a lot of their trails, through books, and visited the places in person (partly why I moved to SF a few years ago).

The tibetan book of the dead whilst interesting, is a heavily religious and cultural text based on rights and ritual, more so than spirituality and 'self'.

Again to keep 'ranty' on topic, feel free to PM if of interest (or new thread or something).

To keep super on topic, went into the city for an interview this morning, paid $60 parking. If I'd kept the car there LONGER (another 4 hours), the rate would have been HALF (IE $30 in total). Talk about backwards.

My Delica has now been en route for two weeks… This means one, and only one thing: stuck at CUSTOMS... The price was 47 €, so I won't get an enormeous bill but probably will have to pay a tenner...
Let's just hope, for my sanity, that it'll arrive tomorrow  😠

50% of the current run of 25oz denim was lost to second and third grade.  Because we had some issues with another jeans maker getting hold of some of our 3rd grade 21oz denim some time ago, we now buy it from the mill although we can't use it.  Haraki has just pissed away USD8,000….Haraki has grown to love this denim and will persevere, but it really is on the limits of what is doable and his ability to pressure the mill is limited - if he pushes too hard, they're likely to say they don't want to do it any longer.....
