True waist? Where is this measured? My jeans measure 17.75 across, perhaps a little more.

My waist waist is 33.5-34? But clearly I wear on my hips

if ur true waist is indeed between 33 and 34 you might be able to get in a size 34 ..your jeans measure over 35 though, so in reality you might be more comfty in a size 36 - which measures 35 in the waist to begin with

Beats, really appreciate your response and input! Yeh.. noted on waist, guess I'm confused because the 33W in 666s are actually a little loose, I never did measure them after I gave them their initial wash so I don't know how much they shrank, but i suspect they were just over 33w after soak. Which is why i'm a little concerned at going to 36 in any OD!

make sure to measure the "Giles way"! waist and thigh measurements are the most useful ones to decide what size you should take in your next pair, so make sure to get that right!

I get by. Politics at work make my 9-5 life unbearable, parcels get blocked by French customs, or lost by UPS, which is not good. But health is OK, family healthy, kids doing well in school and staying away from badness, wife being lovely and loving after all these years. I'm blessed.

Going to Germany every week these days. Bade Wurtenberg, just across the Rhine from Strasbourg. I like Germany. I find people dependable and quite nice. I wish I had been more serious in my German classes 35 years ago. I'd be able to enjoy the people and the civilization even more.
