I personally liked like OG stuff from IH's. Being able to walk around and having people mistaken it for a pair of Levi's at first glance is pretty neat. Only those who have good knowledge (and a good eye) can spot the difference between the two.

      I'm as ugly as you

what do you think the red W and IH arcs are inspired by?

I know they were inspired by Levis.  Everyone who makes jeans was likewise inspired, to some extent or another.  You can't make 5 pocket denim pants and not use Levis as a reference.  But the arcs and the W are different, distinctive.  No one will mistake them for Levis or anything else.  They are uniquely Iron Heart.

And I'm not bothered by fit- making functional, good looking pants limits your range of possible measurements pretty drastically.  Everyone is going to end up making jeans that are kinda close to some pair of jeans that Levis made at some point in its 100+ year history.  That's just a reality of clothes manufacturing.  That's why the details matter.  The arcs, the patch, the tab, the thread colors, the selvedge line, the coin pocket, the fabric itself; all of those things are what differentiate one design from another.  I don't want jeans that aren't Levis to look exactly like Levis.

well it's all shades of gray, perhaps Chris I misunderstood your tone, re repro/inspiration, clearly the IH arcs are an evolution of the levis arc and the red W is there because the lawsuit forbid a red patch on the inner edge of the back pockets, just struck me as odd how one could be so opposed to straight repro stuff when we know our favorite brand isn't all that far removed

I just watched a documentary about waste management in Italy. All I have to say is that country is fucking up big time. I guess it has to do with La Camorra (organized crime syndicate) running most of the waste management.  The part that is the most fucked up, is that they buried toxic waste in the Acceran Mountains countryside, now people's life expectancy in the area is 50 years old, not to mention that all their food is polluted with toxins.  This is a great example of how being a piece a shit now, could fuck it up badly for YOUR kids (not your kid's kids)….food for thought.

Yup you might read the book from Roberto Saviano, its called Gomorrha. He is a local from that region and described in this book how the camorra runs the business. Since then he is no safe more.

Me for example would never eat or buy mozzarella di buffalo from that region, campagna. I always ask in restaurants where the mozzarella on a pizza is from if not declared.

                  Cheers,
                  David

monday I don't think you can go wrong with either. Blendtec are generally a little more low profile to fit under cabinets if that matters. I think the vitamix is a little more heavy duty and the warranty is great but truly both do the job (for us thats making kale shakes) really well. Don't bother with the ones with the fancy programs. On off high low is basically all you need.

I've used both extensively. I have a Blendtec at home, and a Vitamix at work. I like the ease of use with the Blendtec. It never struggles, and gets the job done well. The Vitamix seems a bit wonky, has a plunger to move stuff around if it's not blending (Blendtec doesn't need this because the vortex it creates sucks everything up), and it's really loud.
