Thanks Snowy, perfectly illustrated. But keep in mind that it's a personal preference that might differ from yours (IJ?).

Doh, no need to retire if/when the fabric is solid.
Tears, rips in front tigh area/knees etc -> they are retired from daily wear, and moved to weekend-wear department.

On a sidenote, I work in a office, we have no dresscode, thank god. I could wear patched/repaired jeans at work, but don't want to.

you´re right mate! my way to do things is, that as soon as i have a pair of well worn/faded jeans, i´ll switch to a new pair (which gets most of the future wear) and put the "old" pair in the closet. just going to wear it from time to time, not as often as i did in the past!…still gonna wear it though!

Yepp. These look great. No need to retire if you ask me.

                why so serious?

They haven't quite started to bloom like Finn's yet, but that should change now that I'm rolling around in gymnastics chalk while taking photos.  I finally managed to put a small hole in mine.

                    On the job…

Love me some gymnasts. My last girlfriend was a gymnast and her body was next level.  They don't look that muscular a year or two after they retire.

I'll give you today's random comment award Mike. Reading on down about 634S, and next minute gymnasts. Had to re-read twice to figure out what it had to do. Well done sir.

It' not easy to maintain that level of conditioning once you don't have to do it anymore.  The scars are forever, though…

folks , I've seen many pairs of denim on here , and wondered what lengths you go to , to get such good fading ?
Are you wearing your jeans every single day ?
Do you iron your denim ?
How often are they soaked / washed - or just freshened up ..

I know there's comments on threads , I just am interested in each persons way of getting their jeans to look so good.
I have a year old pair of raw nudies but look nothing like on here , is it the weight of the denim that gives a better look ?
or simply the work you put into it ?

You only live once , if done properly then once is enough

it's the denim, and then usage.

I wash mine approx after every 3 weeks of use. Rotation of 3-4 pairs, airing after every weeks use. And I don't wear nothing but jeans.

It's a strange thing to answer. In the case of the 23 oz Raw IH denim - it's simply an amazing fading fabric. I think if you wore this for one year (on a daily basis, but even if not) you must get great fades, if you live a normal life.

Then, the pattern and shape of fades depends on how you size (tight fits often result in narrow whiskers and combs, loose in wider spread ones) and how often and how you wash them.

I know that some nudies, especially the non selvage organic ones, are really tough to fade. And then, there's folk that gets to fade almost every pair of jeans, like rockon99/kybosh, almostnice, iGit, licorice_noice (hopefully spelled correctly) just because the work in their jeans and beat them to submission.

I throw mine on the floor when not wearing them… Also this particular denim fades really easily
