      @DrPat:

      Regarding the WAYWT pictures only page:  I'm not sure if the software exists, but what would be ideal is that all pictures inserted into the WAYWT thread automatically get copied over into the pictures-only thread.  In addition, this thread could be locked to prevent direct posting of comments.

      That's an interesting thought, but almost impossible to implement. What if somebody posts a pic for fun (e.g. facepalm) cause the fit of a guy sucks? How should the the software decide whether to copy this pic to the pictures-only thread or not? So the pictures-only wouldn't be useful a tiny bit.

        Good point.  If I were designing the software, I would rely on a tag to determine which images get copied.  For example, those included with the standard don't get copied but those with something like [IMGC] (C for copy) do.  If inappropriate images are included then they could be could be erased by the mods (similar to porno).

          Very good point, but it's way to complicated from the user's angle. He has to decide whether to use the [IMGC] or the ![](tag. Too much effort for a feature that won't be used. :P)

              Can we all agree that the Author of their particular FOR SALE Thread locks it as soon as an item is SOLD? I think Beats said something about this a while back, but I just wanted to reiterate that is is much easier to look through the Buying & Selling Area if this happens. Thanks All!

                yeah..I would suggest that once an item has been sold and the buyer received it (would be nice if he left a little feedback like item received, thanks) the thread gets locked…

                    I think it is time we look into starting separate "Want To Buy" (WTB) and "For Sale" (FS) forums/ areas in Buying and Selling…

                                on the "buying and selling" postings , i like having all the sold items always listed because;

                                1. provides historical pricing and pics, great research

                                2. shows a vibrant secondary market

                                so in light of that, how about when an item is sold or a listing is finished , have the original postee go back and modify the listing title to include  " (SOLD) " at the end of the listing. mods can check up on postings to easily maintain the buy/see forum easily as well.

                                just thinking aloud.

                                    Shoque and I have been doing this. It works perfectly. If anyone has any questions about a SOLD item, they can just PM they buyer and or seller.

There is a search function for a reason. Also, it is always good to check out your surroundings before blindly posting things. Also, please read the Forum Member Guidelines: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=announcement;aid=1

                                          If possible, it may be a good idea to have a "MUST-READ-OR-ELSE" type link listed at the top of the Index/Main Forum Page.  It could contain vital information and guidelines on all the boards (Products, B&S, etc.).  Obviously new folks will have to read it voluntarily, but the more visible it is the more likely it is that members might at least give a look through.

                                          Being on the Forum Index page, would also make it easier IMO to reference the guidelines, as I'm sure other members besides myself do on occasion.  Just some thoughts, as I know fora etiquette seems to need perennial attention and I likes me fora clutter free.

                                            Lando and that_was_easy, you both have valid points, but in my experience, there's little you can do about this.

                                            People who don't read the rules or haphazardly post won't read the rules before posting no matter what kind of crazy font you put it in, and using the goddamn search button is a real challenge to some people for a reason that is beyond my level of comprehension

                                            I don't know if it's the internet that has bred this type of member, but seriously, people just need to do a nominal amount of reading before they go rip shit on a forum…don't know why it's such a big deal...

                                            I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose
