Buy the 634SV and remove the extra pockets…...Then you just have to get used to the leather.....

I've never had a problem with tight pockets on my 634s's, maybe it's a size-dependent thing?

Depends on the size of your hands and how snug they are on your thighs. Only thing I don't like about my pair, wish the opening was larger.

Never had any problems with mine, even now that they've gotten unacceptably tight because I've gotten unacceptably fat.

You want to experience tight pocket openings, try a pair of Momotaro jeans.  I swear, I think those are just for decoration, not intended for real use.

I found the top block small in proportion to the other dimensions. This could make the pockets appear tight if you size down.

In 634s? Hmmm… you tried BB's for example in same size?? Or Devils?

Yes. The BBs don't fit me so well either. I prefer the looser top block and slimmer leg of the 301.

                            Sorry, but what are 301?

Many thanks for all the help and advice, much appreciated.  Just placed my order for the 634s (size 36" hemmed to 32").

Keeping all my fingers crossed now!

                                Cheers

So then 634 is wrong cut for you, that simple. (I once tried on my buddys 25oz Devils and couldn't get them on…on the other hand 32W in 634 cut is about perfect for me)
We are all different built. (on a sidenote one of my buddies I managed to get 634s is just same sized as I am. If jeans fit him or me it's the same other way around)

I know this is going to sound totally stupid, I am new to raw denim. What happens if I wash the jeans after a month in instead of 6-8 months? I retain the dark blue color and then they fade like a regular dark blue Levis for example? I guess I loose the posibility of contrast fading etc.  Am I right? Am I missing something?

On the other hand , If I wash after 8 months, whats the general rule to clean somehow, remove bad odor etc.?

Best regards and happy new year

Most of the indigo loss is through abrasion, not through washing.  I took a piece of 21oz indigo denim and washed it once a week for months, there was hardly any indigo loss.  What you may find is that the combs and whiskers do not set if you wash very soon after getting them.  If they smell, they need washing.
