The only downside to SE is you have to bring stuff in for repairs. If you aren't local it could be a deal breaker

People in the UK - where do you get your stuff repaired? My 666s are 1 year in and hems need looking at, also a couple of weak (one hole about to break through) on back of legs also and wondering where to send them…

Cheers Finn. I didn't know whether the guy above a few posts used him and complained!

Before I send some pictures to denim doc, is there any in London?

should have used lighter colored thread…greyish blue, and it would've been almost invisible. Just a thought.

Just a quick one about maintenance. This is the crotch stitching on my 634S. There is some wear developing and I think it is okay but wanted another opinion to back me up.

                          +1 for the Denim Doctor.

Took in a blown out pair of pbj's and he did a great job.  Pics as and when…

true, though a bit maintenance wouldn´t be that wrong imo! i´d get them reinforced before more "damage" is going to happen!…

went to my tailors and had them add a cuff to the work pants, I'm rather chuffed.

@CLJ:  That shit is apparently happening in the crotch area on most pairs of raw/dry jeans, at least every single one of mine.

Here's a pic of a gusset, which is designed to take the stress off that shitty single crotch seam on regular jeans:

Edit: zhivago knows how to diffuse the situation…

that gusset wouldn't help with wear as it's caused by friction not stress. unless your getting seam blow out then it is stress. the problem is a simple one to fix….. wear loose fitting jeans

Above is correct. ANd also sag a bit your tight fitting jeans, and you get there faster….

I'd say not just loose fitting jeans, but properly fitting jeans.
