WESCO

I'll put myself through the wringer soon. Let's see how they deal with 8 toes…..
Good luck G. I have an entire file of Wesco from Japan. Probably like 60 or so images. Just phenomenal stuff being built. I wish I had a pair that worked.

having the eyelets near each other is a good indication that you got the heel and instep measurement done correctly!
pencil the side of the pencil should be the one touching your skin on the perimeter of your foot not the lead.
You're supposed to wear socks BTW. Boot socks…No pencil on skin. Also, the eyelets (opposing eyelets) on my build were very close when laced securely.
-
should be an intersting make-up.
will hold my opinon until they are out in the wild . . . will be an intersting make-up, to say the least

Interesting build. Im not sure whewre I stand on those ripple soles. Part of me likes it, and part of me loathes it. Im a purist at heart when it comes to this kind of thing however, so I already have a chip on my shoulder when anything "weird" enters the equation.
-
When I was a kid all the janitors at school wore black shoes with those soles, just reminds me of them.
I'm a Vibram 100 fire/ice sole kinda gal, if that makes me a purist I can live with that. -
with my experience with wesco . is you always size 1 up from your whites. period. but again thats just me. and fit is perfect spot on
Ed, do you really stand by this statement? I have never owned Wesco's but have had plenty of White's and I have ever heard anyone make this claim before about sizing up 1 size from your White's size. You have more experience than most with these brands, so I'd like to trust your advice.

yes maybe not a whole size half a size up is more accurate. because wesco's have insoles and whites doesnt.
-
Yes, half a size up from White's is accurate in my experience.

^ What size?

We get ice & snow here in California Jack, just gotta drive a hundred miles to find it!
Never had a sizing issue with Wescos, I have size 7's and 7 1/2's. I've found out by trial and error that the
higher the heel the more room you need, when I get boots with a higher heel I go a half size larger because
your foot tends to slide forward when your heel is higher. -

And to think of it, I switched Wescos insoles to thin leather ones, as I didn't like the bounciness of wescos insoles…
-
I don't mind the insoles though leather ones would be nice…Can't find them here, just the foam insoles.
Custom sizing can be tricky, I've never tried it, I just go with my usual size and when in doubt I go a half size
up. So far it's worked. -
ehhh. sizing issue? if its not too tight i suggest getting some boot socks
EVERYTHING is spot-on with these except for the toe-rub issue. I'm sure that its due to the lace-to-toe design, which my feet/toes don't seem to like. The left foot/boot relationship is going well, but the right side hasn't conformed just yet. But to be fair to the boots, I've only worn them approx. 8 hours total, so I'm hopeful they'll come around. And I haven't worn heavy socks yet so I'm sure that would help as well, I just wanted some ideas on how to get some quick relief if possible!
