Yeah see: these aren't raw… But it won't change or damage the jeans in any way or form, so don't worry!..

soaking get excess starch out. if you agitate hem area, they'll soften up and premature fraying might be avoided when cuffin'.

You´re right, but I read on this nice forum, you should soak a fresh pair of jeans before you wear them. The stitches should settle and stuff like that. It´s up to you if you soak em or not. It´s the same with washing. If my pair is really dirty, I wash em of course!

I always wash my clothes before I wear them the first time.  Doesn't matter if it's jeans or anything else.  I like to get rid of the starch, sizing, shelf dust, or whatever else might have accumulated in the fabric before I got it.  Comes from when I was a kid and had allergic reactions occasionally to new clothes (or something in them).

As others have said, a soak won't do any harm, so don't worry about it and just do your own thing.:)

I think they look very classic. There's something to be said for jeans fitting the way they used to. I like 'em.
