I hadthe issues as well. I dont think that gift coupon could solve the problem at all. the best if possible is find a way to fix it. My local tailor did a zigzag/ darning ( thats what we called them ) on all the button hole that falling apart. Means that the he strengthens with added more thread to it. I know a picture could work but i'm on the boat right now and will post a picture of it when i'm home. And that repair did solve all the issues with buttonhole. The denim is not soft like sanforised version so that combines with less wash will made them fall apart earlier than we thought.

i think it is a quality/construction problem and Giles IH UK or IH JAPAN should be handle it and not we,the customers!

everybody should just chill the fuck out and wait what G-San has to say…the only thing i know from working in retail is that you won't get your money back at all. maximum is that you can take the shirt to a tailor and IH may pay for the repair but that's it...no full refund is going to happen, period!

But I'm pretty sure that G-San and all of the IH crew will do what's best for all of you guys effected. That's just the G-San way and H-San way, at least that's what I'm getting thus far from them and I believe you guys getting that as well.

I've had the same problem with mine too.  A tailor fixed a few button holes, but think the others may need to be repaired soon.  It's a bummer, but I'm sure it'll get sorted out.

Mine had the same problem as well…..I went ahead and bought bigger buttons and had my Tailor put them in.

I have been speaking to Haraki about the button problems on the IHSH-53.  Haraki is extremely upset that this has happened and offers his sincere apologies.

I know we all hate that things like this happen, but when you push boundaries, things go wrong occasionally.

It does not happen on every shirt, I wear mine a lot and mine is 100% fine.

But, if yours has had problems, please PM Paula and we will sort you out.
