This was all the way back on Page 4.  It's an oldie, but I just got mine last week (via TinMan).  In the middle of getting some work done on the terrace, so my traditional background will soon change.

Should any special care be taken when washing the wabash?

Inside out and buttoned up. That's all. I dry my shit too. The fabric becomes amazingly soft.

I wouldn't spin it either. Look at the washing instructions for the 08 and other heavy shirts and follow them.

I washed my 55 with a spin on a wool wash and it was fine. I wouldn't necessarily put it on a harder cycle though.

I've found no special treatment to be required, I just wash at 40C, cotton cycle, no problem at all!
