      @RocknRoll:

      What's with the short inseam on this latest batch? I'd be tempted to pick up a pair if it wasn't for that (and the fact I just got the Vulcans  :-[)

        Probably a good thing for me - the 18oz stuff is highly addictive.

          It's also the only sensible answer.

            Been examining the measurements of current batch once more, and if ever someone wanted lower rise BB's this is the time…

              These came in a few days ago, wow.. I've had unsanforized before but after first blazing hot soak these were the stiffest things I've ever felt, forget cardboard. Steel. Did second super hot soak last night for 2 hours, inseam only shrunk 1 inch which was good too, I got there larger on purpose, sick of tight fits.. But how long do these take to soften up??

                They soften nicely in 7-10 days. Also, if you want the full shrink, agitation by hand is needed. I got 2.5in out of my inseam after 2 hot soaks with hand agitation.  The waist shrinks an inch and everywhere else shrinks about 0.5in. Enjoy Nerk.

                            Get the Vulcans- same denim, but with the wider thighs of the 634.  If extra layer of denim in the back pockets bothers you, they can be removed, as others have demonstrated.

                            Been thinking about this recently, myself…

                              I sized up and the thighs were still baggy, I thought they would be tight but they worked good

                                I considered these but the leather is so tacky, I can't get past it

                                  Nerkg I think you would be right if the leather used was some cheap BS. The leather triangle serves as a reinforcement for the pocket. It's just an alternative or an addition in this case I guess to rivets. Or I guess I mean to say I think it's barely noticeable when you actually wear them:..

                                    And, Haraki and I chose it specifically so it should age as the denim ages.  And tacky of not, it is there for people who want to clip a knife/tool there.  Ask Seul to show you his jeans that did not have a leather patch like that….

                                          Decided not to sell these.. Did another HOTTT soak and turned them inside out in the dryer with great results, got the waist from 35.9 down to 33.3
