Just thought I'd post quickly to say how awesome these jeans are.  First pair of IH, and what a great choice I made. Perfect fit, mind-blowing denim, just stunning.

Hello General Giles, Paula & IH fans,

I'm delighted to receive my 1st IH pair today! I went for the Beatle Buster 21 oz. First, many thanks to G. & Paula for the wonderful service: the denim got shipped the same day and reached me in Dubai 5 days! The product itself has exceeded all my expectations: Beautiful denim (heavy!), fit and construction! No doubt, a pair to cherish for a long time especially given its my 1st japanese selvedge.

Question about sizing: I measured my favorite 4 jeans as per the provided instructions to determine which size to order. Ended up going for 33 (width). When I tried them on, the fit felt great but not overly tight. If these were regular (non-denim) trousers it would be just perfect! I had zero difficulties buttoning up and the only way I can put my finger in here is by squeezing it (not too hard) between the denim and my belly.
That said, i can help but think i might have gone 1 size smaller. I often read that people would get by their supposedly perfect denim size by buying a pair that is initially (very) hard to button up since the denim eventually stretches out to fit hem perfectly.

I'm interested in your opinion on the subject and don't mind exchanging my pair for size 32 to get a perfect fit. Your input is really appreciated by his IH newbie

If there's nothing in the fit you dislike, and they fit like a dream waistwise, why would you want to size down?.. They won't stretch a lot if they're not tight on you. Most people size down cause they want a slightly slimmer silhouette…

Seul pretty much covered it.

If the fit looks ace then don't bother returning the jeans and risking having the jeans not fit. Waste of time and money. If you provide us with pictures, we can help you a bit more as the waist is just one aspect of the fit of the jeans.
