Please just fucking stop!!!
Disney just bought LucasFilms and will release Star Wars Episode 7 in 2015 with Lucas as "creative consultant."
Is it going to be animated? At least then the acting couldn't be as bad.
Could it? No, it couldn't. No, no way…
I really just wish Lucas would take his mountains of cash and go away, rather than continually pissing all over some of the happiest memories of my childhood. And for the love of God, it's not Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope, Star Wars: Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI- Return Of The Jedi. It's just Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. Don't make me punch you in the nuts.

Chris let's not make things worse lol

Every time I think Lucas has done all the damage he possibly could, he finds a new way to sodomize his legacy…

as soon as i´ll receive it mate, thanks a bunch again
and i really hope you guys know that i was just joking, right?!…wanted to include a smiley or two, but thought i should save´em for now -
Chris, I actually have some hope for the franchise. At least now Lucas can't keep redoing the films for every new technology.
Plus, Disney could hire great writers and great directors for the new releases.
I do see Boba Fett coming back from the dead. That's a billion dollar franchise sitting in a Sarlaac's belly.

Just want to say how nice it is to look and see who's on the forum, and see my buddy Beatle in the house

I gave up hope for the franchise long ago. Lucas can't help himself-he has to keep going back and "fixing" the old movies to the point where I no longer even want to watch them. All I want is a copy of the original trilogy in HD and I'll be done. Maybe that will finally happen, now that Lucas has relinquished sole control.
As for Disney, it exists to find new and efficient ways to separate people from their money. It can't help itself, either. I weep at the thought of semi-annual direct to video releases, a dozen new Disney channel cartoons, floods of Star Wars branded merchandise (yes, even more than already exists) and Ewoks wandering around Disney World.
And I feel obligated to mention the property that seems to have gotten lost in the furor- Disney also bought the Indiana Jones franchise. Let's contemplate for a moment the potential monetization pillaging the Mouse House can do there.
-
Chris, that is certainly a rant!
-
Maybe now we will finally see the much anticipated Star Wars vs Indiana Jones in the vain of alien vs predator and Jason vs Freddy. Please people Star Wars is long dead the greatest trilogy in Cinema history died long ago with vader. The new king of the mountain is LOTR
-
Yeah Tom, probably should move it, but it flowed with the topics here. I apologize for ranting instead of announcing.
On a less ranty tip, I hope we get lots of Trick-or-Treaters tonight, otherwise I'm gonna feel obligated to eat the 9 pounds of candy Julie bought. That will be an ugly sight.
Hmmm, maybe I could turn it into a Bluejack entry; Chris eats 21 Snickers bars. And 21 Twizzlers. And 21 Twix bars. And on through 18 more candy varieties…

I live walking distance from one of the biggest Halloween carnivals in the US, streets have been blocked since
midnight and won't open until 7:00 am tomorrow morning. Time to go trick or treating in the MRI dept. for some
ear plugs so I can sleep tonight!
