Truth, Jack… We get snow maybe a week or two here and I absolutely dread the mess it creates... So I see where you're coming from

Yeah, folks don't get winter around here either. My stepson said a couple years ago "it snowed, I don't want to go to school"

There was a fuckin inch on the ground.

I slapped him on the back of the head and said "if you can see your belt buckle, it hasn't snowed yet"

This is how it is in the southern states.  In North Carolina, where I grew up, the reliable gauge of school cancellation was if the snow covered the grass.  No visible grass = no school.
