Nothing wrong with that. IHSH-72 is a gateway for those who missed out on the IHSH-20. IMHO, I think it is an essential piece. Everyone should have at least one ::) in the closet.

I have the mental image of the Colosseum where Emperor Gilius Padmoris holds a few of the IHSH-72s above the blood-lusting crowd. "Entertain me, gladiators", as he releases the shirts and the gang begins to claw at each other, throws money at the Emperor and tries to catch one of the elusive clothings. After the dust settles, the few lucky survivors are cheered on by the spectators, knowing they now own a future legend.

So when you say model wears a large, but could layer with XL, does that mean it's a bit smaller than usual? The 72 M fits me great, but it seems more like a large than a medium compared to other recent models going by the fit and the numbers.

dave, I shall obviously let G reply to your question but I think you are right. my experience with the heavyweight flannels has been like that. with the IHSH-32, my "usual" IH size is kind of fitted whereas one size up was a better setup for layering. but i'm often slightly between sizes with IH stuff so my experiences might not necessarily be true for others.

I've got the between sizes thing going n too and 51 was a bit small on me.. I can wear the M, but the L would have been better. Just planning my attack
