IH-555S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Jeans - Indigo

Hi I just got mine in the mail today. I love the super slims! The fitting around my legs are incredible!
I am typically a size 33-34. I bought the IH-555-01 size 32 which has waist 33.5.
At size 32, the waist fits exactly - I can fit both of my index fingers into my waist. (NOTE: I haven't hot shrunk them yet.) However, the crotch area appears to be a little too tight - I feel they are comfortable but the zipper seems to be pulling both directions even when I am just standing straight.
I dunno if I should exchange these for a size up. How much will these stretch over time?

FYI the IH-555-01 are sanforized so they shouldn't shrink that much.

no way would i size up on that. they're a slim fit and that's what you got there. my previous 21oz ended up stretching 2" in the waist over the years so stick with those for sure.

I honestly feel very comfortable with the waist. My only area of concern is the crotch area.
How much did your crotch area stretch out?

^^that is my opinion as well. Yes the denim will stretch…eventually. But not before you damage the buttonholes and seams. And jeans that skinny do not look good on dudes (less skin on future pics please). IH jeans have a high inseam, and you will not be able to avoid the horrific male camel toe.

My pair of 18oz were pretty tight at first as well. I to went with a size down but that was because they were auctioned samples. I think u can get a lot of stretch out of urs. I'd like to see a better pic of u wearing them though..maybe a bit more straight on of a pic and put some distance so we can see a bit better.

I would go up a size personally.

Feck it, I say you trade 'em in and size down one. And, in your next fit pic, definitely shoot off a couple of middle finger freedom rockets! Boom. Winning.

if you can see your fly buttons, they're too tight.. go one size up.

If it's uncomfortable in the crotch for me anyway, they're not worth having. IMO you should size up…

that whole top block will stretch out. i'd be persevering if they were mine but that's just me.

Even if the top block stretches they will feel tight in the crotch and thighs…and I think they would also look much better with a little room here and there. Sizing down on already slim fits is common but not my cup of tea. Just my 2 cts.
