Just curious, what's the little patch supposed to be for? Just looks?
i think it´s some sort of "protection" when you´re riding your bike that the leather of your boots won´t tear as fast while shifting as it would if there was just one layer of leather!…
-
Isn't it usually only on the left boot? You don't need extra protection for the right, do you?
-
yeah, it's called a gear shift patch.

i used to have a pair of black classic wesco boss boots and the creases in that area were the first to get soaked in prolongued rain. the burlap roughouts don't have that problem and resist hours in the snow or rain. 'sides, i obviously like the look and necessity is an odd thing to discuss in a forum mainly about 21oz+ 300$+ denim

Thanks J! They all hate 'em here except you and Eddie because I had them made with four (!) straps. There are more pics a few pages back. But sometimes you've got to do crazy stuff

Fuck them. Your boots, your body, your style, do what the feck you want…..I do....

You know, I had completely forgotten about those early pics of yours, NCA. The bad lighting that made them look pinkish was the only problems could see with them. But Giles is (of course) right- your boots, your money. If somebody else doesn't like 'em, they can screw off.
I really like that burlap color roughout, by the way.

thanks guys
After all, what's the use of customizing them, if they end up looking everybody elses boots. However, eventually I'll start looking again for another, a bit more traditional pair for riding.

Wesco Engineer rough out with motorcycle toe, heel one lift down and Vibram 100R. the three buckles also help to keep the pants from riding up.
Wow just took a look at how good it looks with three straps, pretty amazing! how do you find the one lift lower in the heel?
I was going to go with double midsole, vibram 705 and one lift lower in heel but not exactly sure how that'll look or feel
