Random Rants
-
If someone has a shitty fit pic or something looks too big on them, say something. Everyone does not look good in everything. It doesn't have to be rude either.
indeed. will you be leading by example?
I don't respond to faceless people.

Hey, Mike, does this shirt make me look fat?
My rant wasn't directed at anyone. It was just a rant.
-
Yo! Mike, nothing but love. I just thought it was funny. I agree totally with your rant. In fact, for example, I'm glad people on the forum spoke up about my ugly ass Pendleton coat. I gave it away, and now friends are texting me drunk pictures of the "ugly coat world tour." I posted my fat hoodie pic as an example. Just because we own something and share photos of us in it, doesn't mean it looks good. In fact, I love the way this forum has helped my personal style and taste grow. Just because slim fit duck pants work for others, doesn't mean it's a look I'm really that into. Just because I really dig the brass wallet chain doesn't make it cool. Now, if I can just get some of BK's slimness…maybe a really expensive coke habit would help...but then, I couldn't afford IH...damn you fashion catch 22!!! BTW, is this diatribe "ranty" enough? Pretty pleased with it, if I do say so, myself. (And I do)

Absolutely nothing wrong with constructive criticism, when I had not been on this forum long Beatle, Finn and a couple of other were kind enough to point out that the Buzz Rickson deck jacket I had bought was around 2 sizes too big for me. It pissed me off that the jacket was too big, and I had tried to convince myself that it wasn't, but it helped me to know that it was too big. Also, I ended up with my favourite coat ever, the IHM-01, because of their honesty.
I just want to add a caveat that comments like "that looks shit", or even "that really doesn't suit you" help no-one. If you're going to give critique, give reasons for it.

Didnt really know where i should post this but here goes..
Saw this today while walking around T.O. and it kinda pisses me off. I like that they are a Canadian owned/ran company but fuckin really guys??
I went inside to see what up and seems like its pretty blatantly biting off IH's style(iron HEART, not fuckin iron head)Didnt see any denim mind you, but some of it was ridiculous. Aaaaand there was a "no photos" sign on the window…..hmmm.
-
Meh. I can't get worked up about this one. They actually pre-date Iron Heart and according to the history, "Iron Head" came from the childhood nickname of the founder. As for having a similar vibe, well, lots of companies mine the biker & workwear ethos. It seems like half the Japanese clothing companies have a similar mindset.
Never handled any of their gear, so I don't know anything about quality, pricing or such. I'm sorta intrigued by them, actually, based on the minimal info on the site.

They were showing at B&B in Berlin this year. I'm cool with it….
Thats good G. I wasnt completely outraged, just a lil disgruntled u know? Some of their stuff looked alright (mechanic shirts anyway) and maybe if i didnt know about Iron Heart i might have atleast tried one on lol. I get a lil defensive when it comes to my bro's, Boss.

Holy crap, I had forgotten what an enormous time sucking pain in the ass it is to take pictures & measurements and do write ups for crap I want to get rid of. Woops, meant to say, wonderful, lightly used, highly desirable garments that I would like to sell for extremely reasonable prices.
This is why stuff just piles up in my closet forever. I should go back to buying cheap junk so I won't feel bad about tossing it all in a Salvation Army drop box.

Fuckin unbelievable expérience with PayPal today.
Sold a coat to a scumbag in China who filed a dispute that he hadn't received it
Despite me furnishing tracking details, PayPal decided in his favour and took over 300 from my account back to him. They gave me 10 days to appeal, which I did, same outcome.
I had already started a claim with royal mail which resulted today with info that the parcel had been delivered on 6 July. The investigator offered to supply a statement to PayPal verifying this .PayPal not interested at all. As far as they are concerned, their investigation is closed so it's tough shit. They couldn't give a toss that new info exists which shows they made the wrong decision.
Bunch of fucking wankers.
