Nice boot Joe, mine are the exact same.  1 year in and they are holding together noticeably better than Aldens worth twice as much and half their age. I love my 1000's.

Have Thorogood's that are a 10EE, but probably closer to a E.  Think a 10D or 10.5D would fit?

I would suggest size 10 in the 1k's if you want a similar fit to the Thorogood boots.  My 1k's fit like an E width and are 1 full size less than my measured size (11 1/2 vs. 12 1/2 measured), but I wear them with thin socks.  But you could always add an insole if you got 10 1/2 and they feel big.  I would much rather have that problem vs. having a tight fitting shoe!

You can find original 1000 mile laces now through www.therightlace.com. Just chose the boot that looks like yours and you will receive the OEM lace in a couple of days by post!
