I always loved Docs and recently bought a pair of their made in England 10 eyes. I'm just having a hard time getting myself back into them (especially over my IH Vibergs). Anyone ever compared quality against Solovair or Tredair?

I've got a pair of the guaranteed for life Doc's in a rather nice dark brown, they are without a doubt the most comfortable pair of boots I own, I ought to wear them more often really or I'll never get to take advantage of the guarantee!

I have a soft spot for DMs, as they were the first boots I had when I went to secondary school and all the cool grunger kids wore them with (coloured) laces undone. Something about a fine girl in a Pearl Jam shirt and 8-eyelet boots…  😘

If you didn't have a pair of Doc Marten's at my school, you definitely weren't sitting in the back of the bus. Then those damn 20 pound sandals had to come along and ruin it for everybody…

I come from such a small sheltered town, that the kids who had money growing up rocked them and they made fun of everyone else. Now, I laugh at Dr. Martens…..

Most of the kids in my town rocked Dr. Fakens. I had the ugliest pair of brown wal mart Doc Knock Offs without the cool stitching. I wore them to death in about six months, so for Christmas my mom got me these crazy sweet like raw looking leather real pair. I don't think I took them off for over a year. I would sleep in those boots they made me feel so BadAss.

That said, I am out to get a replacement for my Lynyrd Skynyrd T I used to wear under a blazer in university, but there are only bad fakes on the interwebs. Actually never liked the band, but the graphics were too cool. All the other band T's are still here and worn frequently, such as Oingo Boingo, Black Flag, Bosstones, Motörhead, Tool and so on, waiting to be passed on to my kids.
