Devils - they are very appropriately named.

For about the first 3-4 weeks, they definitely owned me. Now I can say I own them !

Huzzah! Coincidentally, I might actually have some money by then.

I think these will be a suitable birthday present for me, unless I can find a '72 Rolex Oysterdate.

I paid $700 for my first Oysterdate so not that much of a difference.

But then another $1000 with Rolex for the rebuild and new strap.

Thanks Man! Mine got a bit more gravel worthy recently:

As for my 666s, I think they're getting to retirement age. If only I can convince Vincent to trade me a pair of 555s for em (you know you're gonna want a thrashed pair for the store!) 😃

So after missing the UPS guy yesterday, he delivered my bundle of joy this morning. Here's a couple of quick fit pics. Let me know what you guys think. And big thanks to G and Paula for getting them to me so fast!

I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs. I got a 32 and had them hemmed to a 33.5.  So after 24 hours of wear, (i work 12 hour shifts) I have to say they're not as uncomfortable as I thought they would be. Unless I have to sit down, go up or down steps, bend over, walk, or breathe. Other than that they're great!  I'm glad I didn't go with the 31.  I think after a months or so of wear, they'll be perfect.  The fit and finish is second to none, like everyone else has stated.  You don't really have any idea of the quality until you're holding them in your hand.  They are beating me up a bit though.  My legs are physically tired at the end of the night. Im on my feet walking for 12 solid hours.  My hips and where the top button sit are sore by morning.( I work the night shift)  Overall, i couldn't be happier.  I can feel the work that is going to go into these, and I'm excited because I know it will be worth it!

Believe me wearoften: after 2 weeks of wear, they become amazingly soft and comfortable!.. I had bruises on my hips as well, only was able to put on shoes I could slip my feet in, and thought on going up and down stairs on all 4… So yeah... It gets easier... Just... Wear 'm often...

If he's walking in them 12 hours/ day, I'd say that'd speed up the process… Soaking them might help a bit as well...

Yes its my money and my decision but there is  nothing wrong with everyone having their own opinion on what i did.  I mean i never ever used sand paper and everyone seems to believe that.  Either way i cheated in some way or other.  I do have a question.  Why is it ok to take a sea wash and rub sand on ur jeans…Why is that ok..Its sand and sand is sand.  Double standard because a lot of people do that but if i take a dry eraser its a big no no.  Please someone explain to me what the difference is so I can know for myself (Not sarcasm)

In many internationally renowned brands, like Dolce & Gabbana, Dior and PRPS, altered denim is considered an added value. Artificial fading, if done manually, is an art, and can greatly increase the price of a pair of jeans. From this point of view, I think that your work on your 666XHS is not bad at all!
And I don't think you can define it "cheating". Not exactly.

Personally, I really love my jeans when they are new, and I try to preserve them for as long as possible. I did, however, a sea and sand treatment to my 666sod, because I was curious, but I must admit, I haven't had great results as well.

                                            When I cheat, I go with Photoshop…  😉
