IHSH-08SBG - 16oz Super Black Fades to Grey Western Shirt

Hi Guys n' Gals,

Long time lurker here and i have just received my first IH purchase!
Great service, thank you both Paula & Giles.

I Just wanted some feedback on this beasty if i could please.

I took a medium in the piece, which fits chest and arm length fine, the only thing i am concerned about is the shoulder width , the seam "feels" as though it ends to a little short, is this just the toughness of the fabric and to be expected in it's current state ?

And ….as the shirt is now extinct am i just punishing myself thinking a large would of given me the extra .5 inch of shoulder width and just get on and wear the fecker?

As i say it's my first Iron Heart shirt so ..should i take the Medium of this as a rough example of sizing for future purchases?

You can wear a shirt underneath = you're fine.

The 08 fits tighter than other IH shirts. Your perfect size for other shirts will be M.

As per Seul, if you can fit a shirt underneath, you are good.  I think the shirt is sitting perfectly on your shoulders.  If you were to switch it to a large (which IHUK does not have), you willl have too much room in the chest area and you are likely going to see it bunches up under the arm pits.

That's how the shirt is supposed to fit.  My usual tests are being able to cross my arms and touch the opposite shoulder and touching my toes.  I can do it with most IH shirts but have trouble doing it with the 08.

i almost bought one @ SELA but i was on the fence, i then saw it go on sale and figured i'd grab it but someone beat me to the punch, obviously it wasn't you - i'd love a xxxl as well if anyone has one!

Does this shirt ever soften like the 27? Just gave it a second wash, still like cardboard! Even my superblack jacket is softer!

I've used mine quite a lot, no washes so far, but elbows are starting to soften nicely up and the shirt is generally getting softer.

Quick morning fit pic.  This is an XL (my usual IH top size).  Shoulders/arms feel a bit strange at first but I know with a lot of use and abuse they'll settle in perfectly.

Either I'll break the shirt, or the shirt will break me.
