I think I might be able to top that one Seul…

        • Drinking until 12ish last night, mainly low quality beers and a Pims/ Gin mix that has left a riotous headache, and an extremely dry mouth.

        • Got to bed around 2, after watching Match Of The Day and some random Korean movie that I've been meaning to watch for ages, and now remember nothing about.

        • Woke up at 5:35, unable to sleep any more due to aforementioned dry mouth and headache.

        • Got up, and came down stairs, woke Tom in the process and so was joined by a loud and excitable 6 year old.

        • Got to go to the library to return some books this morning (I feel less like moving than I do sawing my own face off), followed by TWO kids birthday parties consecutively.

        • If you never hear from me again, I was either the murderer or the victim.

It's 8:15AM on the east coast in America and Seul and Mega have me falling out of bed laughing. The baby comment is so true, I always get a baby directly near my seat when I fly to CA, it's happened the last 3 consecutive times.

It's 16:53 in Middle England Mike, and I have made it home alive, my update is as follows….

            • I got out of the first kids party because the library opened an hour later than I thought it did, so I spent an hour playing "spot the heroin addict" with myself in Mansfield town centre.

            • My headache had left by this time, due to a large variety of none prescription pain killers, but the dry mouth persisted.

            • To combat this I made the stupid decision of going to the local McDonalds for a milkshake, as it is also really hot, this was also full of heroin addicts.

            • Finally got into the library and took out a massive pile of Batman and Superman TPB's.

            • Got home and snoozed on the sofa for half an hour while Pam and Tom endured the first party.

            • Was forced to go to the second party, as it was my niece's, stood around in the heat watching kids, and my wifes family argue for two hours.

            • Now back on the sofa and feeling happy that it's all over.

90°F/32°C and it rained all morning, so now the sidewalks are literally steaming.  It's a miserable, damp sauna outside.  Naturally, my heat-loving, native Texan wife thinks it's a perfect time to go out and run errands.  With our two howling children.  And I have a massive withdrawal headache since I decided to kick my caffeine habit.

God, I hate the weather in Houston, especially since I've got another 2+ months of this disgusting heat to endure.

Yeah Seul, hotter weather in Belgium than in Texas is just wrong.  Go ahead and complain.  I'm just cranky because it's been hot since April and it won't cool off until October.  After 4 months of summer, I'm ready for a change, and I'm not going to get one for another 2 months.  It just wears me down.

You're right about those Indonesians, Malaysians, Singaporeans, etc. that wear IH year round.  That's serious commitment to the heavyweight life.

On the subject of weather complaints, you guys should try middle England for size. We can have baking heat, gale force winds, and a downpour of rain in the same hour…....and thats just summer. Basically, whichever way you cut it, you're going to get wet, either with sweat or rain.

Meanwhile, beautiful winter's day here in Sydney. 18C, light breeze, and hardly a cloud in the sky.

Humpback whales are doing their north-to-south migration along the east Australian coast at the moment, so there is plenty of whale watching being done at the beach.

Loving it now, but I'll be cursing like you guys when February rolls around and brings 35C with 90% humidity…..

These two (although it sounds like 200) lovely Turkish ladies have been outside vacuuming rugs… Since 10 am... Using one of them big, old and very noisy cleaners... This does not prevent them from shouting at eachother over it non-stop... Since 10 am... There are short interludes in which they switch rugs, which have them shouting at the same volume, with a small child crying constantly in between...

The machine itselfs seems to have two settings which produce two specific sounds:

                                          • Sound of Boeiing 747 taking off

                                          and

                                          • Inarguably the most irritating noise in the world

I will soon edit my WTB list: need grenades and some RPGs.
