Today some stuff arrived from the good people at BIG…USPS took it's sweet time to deliver, but it got here eventually. Totally unnecessary purchase considering the number of jeans I have, but both these jeans are giving me a major boner.
The 14oz Oni's are for summer in a couple of months, and the Sams...well I'll have to find some time or grow extra legs for those! Rest assured they will both get loved in due time.
In the mean time I'm going to touch them and marvel at how good the denim looks and feels. Please don't tell my missus.

Yeah me too Nem! The Oni denim is fucking amazing, fairly lightweight but full of attitude. I don't know what to compare it to - it's slubby, but not like PBJ and it's hairy, but not like TFH.
My only concern is the size. These are supposed to shrink A LOT, and they damn well better, otherwise I'm gonna have to let them go.

what size you land then,,coz if they are anything like them Tenderloins i landed,,they are gonna shrink like something that shrinks a fekkin awful lot

Maybe they are designed to give you tender loins after they have finished shrinking!
Went for the tagged 32. BiG's raw measurements were pretty spot-on, and they say 8-10% shrinkage! Will test that theory tomorrow and post in the Oni thread…this could end in joy or tears.

Thanks. She certainly is. We go to the Village Vanguard a lot and this is one of the posters they have inside and have had since they opened. I am a sucker for great design and she and her father have gotten me back into Jazz. Wish my records were not in storage in SF…
